One-stage paint correction starts with a decontamination wash to ensure the vehicle is clean. This is followed by a condition report and paint depth analysis so that we can carefully select the right polish. We apply the polish to the vehicle using a machine polisher, removing minor imperfections such as very light swirl marks and marring. We finish with a protective wax sealant to enhance the paintwork and protect it.
A one-stage correction is best for vehicles that are in good condition and only require the removal of minor imperfections. If your vehicle has deep – or multiple – swirl marks, marring or light scratches then a stage two or three service may be required. If you are unsure, contact us and we will be happy to advise.
A two-stage paint correction starts with a decontamination wash to ensure the vehicle is clean. This is followed by a condition report and paint depth analysis to carefully select a cutting compound. We apply the cutting compound to the vehicle using a machine polisher. This removes swirl marks, marring and light scratches. We follow this with a finishing polish to bring the paintwork back to life, and a protective wax sealant to enhance the paintwork and protect it.
A two-stage correction is best for vehicles that have swirl marks, light scratches and marring. If your vehicle requires something more, or not as heavy, then you might prefer a stage one or three correction. If you aren't sure, contact us and we'll talk through your options.
Three-stage paint correction starts with a decontamination wash to ensure the vehicle is clean. This is followed by a condition report and paint depth analysis. We then select a heavy cutting compound to remove deeper swirl marks and scratches, wet sanding may be required. We then use a cutting polish to remove any other minor imperfections. Finally, we conduct a finishing polish to bring the paintwork back to life. The vehicle is then finished with a wax sealant to further enhance and protect the paintwork.
A three-stage correction is designed for vehicles that have deep swirl marks, scratches and other imperfections. The process of a three-stage correction is lengthy and can take several days of work to do properly. If you aren't sure about the best course of action for your vehicle, please contact us. We'll be happy to discuss the best way forward.
All vehicles are subject to inspection prior to work being carried out.
